About the Festival

What is Nakanoshima Pavilion Festival 2025!?
This is an academic and artistic festival that allows visitors to enjoy every corner of the charms of ‘Nakanoshima’, the symbolic island of the water city Osaka!

Nakanoshima Pavilion Festival 2025 is a festival in which you can learn and discover something new by visiting world-class cultural facilities such as museums, science museums and concert halls scattered around Nakanoshima, as well as events held in various parts of Nakanoshima that make the most of the area environment, such as the waterfront and office areas.

Experience the wonderful culture of Nakanoshima's academic and artistic arts and the special and fascinating area environment of the ‘island’, and enjoy the charms of Nakanoshima to the fullest!

Nakanoshima is an island in the centre of Osaka, located between the Dojima and Tosabori Rivers, and is an ‘island in the city’, an area with a different character to Osaka's Kita and Minami areas.

1. By Keihan Main Line (Demachiyanagi Station - Yodoyabashi Station)
East Area: Around “Naniwabashi Station” of Keihan Line
(1) Transfer to a train bound for Nakanoshima Station at Kyobashi Station or Tenmabashi Station on the Keihan Main Line → Arrive at Naniwabashi Station (about 2 minutes from Tenmabashi, about 5 minutes from Kyobashi)
(2) Take Keihan Line “Kitahama Station” → Arrive at “Naniwabashi Station” on foot (about 8 minutes)
Central Area: Around “Watanabe-bashi Station” and “Oebashi Station” of Keihan Line
(1) Transfer at “Kyobashi Station” or “Tenmabashi Station” on the Keihan Main Line bound for Nakanoshima Station→arrive at “Oebashi Station” (about 4 minutes from Tenmabashi, about 7 minutes from Kyobashi)
(2) Transfer at Kyobashi Station or Tenmabashi Station on the Keihan Main Line bound for Nakanoshima Station→arrive at Watanabebashi Station (about 5 minutes from Tenmabashi, about 8 minutes from Kyobashi)

(1) Transfer at Kyobashi Station or Tenmabashi Station on the Keihan Main Line bound for Nakanoshima Station→arrive at Nakanoshima Station (about 7 minutes from Tenmabashi, about 10 minutes from Kyobashi)

Central Area: Around “Watanabe-bashi Station” and “Oebashi Station” of Keihan Railway
(1) OsakaMetro Midosuji Line “Umeda Station” - “Yodoyabashi” (about 3 minutes) → walk (about 8 minutes) to “Oebashi Station
(2)Take OsakaMetro Yotsubashi Line “Nishi-Umeda Station” to “Higobashi Station” (about 3 minutes) → walk (about 6 minutes) to “Watanabebashi Station”.
West Area: Around “Nakanoshima Station” of Keihan Railway
(1) JR Osaka Loop Line “Osaka Station” - “Fukushima Station” (approx. 3 min.) → walk (approx. 15 min.) to “Nakanoshima Station
(2) Hanshin Main Line “Osaka Umeda Station” - “Fukushima Station” (approx. 3 min.) → 15 min. walk to “Nakanoshima Station
(3) JR Tozai Line “Kitashinchi” - “Shin-Fukushima” station (approx. 3 minutes) → walk (approx. 15 minutes) to “Nakanoshima” station
Access by bus
(1) Osaka City Bus
  1. Route (1) 53 (for Funatsu-bashi): Departs from Osaka Station and runs through the Nakanoshima area to Funatsu-bashi. Please use “Oebashi”, “Watanabe-bashi”, “Taminobashi”, “Nakanoshima 4-chome” and other stops along the way.
  2. Route (2) 75 (bound for Funatsu-bashi): Departs from Osaka Station and runs through the Nakanoshima area to Funatsu-bashi. It also stops at “Oebashi,” “Watanabe-bashi,” “Taminobashi,” “Nakanoshima 4-chome,” etc.
